Rope
Description:
Rope is useful for many activities including construction and fishing.
Instructions:
This rope is made by first knitting three 3 stitch i-cords, then braiding the i-cords together
An i-cord is a small rope made by creating a small circular tube of knitting
Using size #11 (8.0mm) double pointed knitting needles, cast on 3 stitches with plastic yarn
Slide the stitches to the opposite end of the needle and knit all the stitches - repeat for all rows
Knit to desired length, gently pulling down on your work occasionally to tighten
To cast off, disconnect yarn at the closest join, slip the end through each stitch, pull gently to close.
Make 3 i-cords of the same length. Tie one side of the ends together and braid to make this strong, durable rope.
To make even stronger, hold two i-cords together when braiding, to make a 6-ply braid.
